Prof. Suk-Ha Lee
Seoul National University
Lee’s main research area is working on breeding, genetics, and genomics of legume crops with a specific emphasis on soybean crop including the development and application of SNP marker. His group identified QTLs for some agronomic traits such as disease resistance genes and seed protein content, and used fine mapping and RNA-seq technology to identify a BLP resistance gene. Using NGS technology, his group have re-sequenced a G. soja genome, wild relative of cultivated soybean(Glycine max) to understand the soybean crop domestication history. Recently, Lee is sequencing the whole genome of mungbean as well as its relative vigna species.
